The Maxwell Company was founded in 1959 representing manufacturers in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Tennessee. The company changed hands several times until it was bought in 1989 by its current owners, the Dykes family. Having many years experience in sales the company began recovering from the economic turmoil of the middle and late 1980's. In 1991 the Maxwell Company decided to branch out and began importing bath accessories and cabinet hardware. Named after the wives of the three original partners--Judy, Virginia, and Jackie--JVJ Hardware was born. Through hard work and dedication, the company has grown into a multi-million dollar corporation that has been able to maintain a personal touch with its customer base.
